Christians!

Finally, a bit more serious:
HOWEVER... If you're looking for the grace of Allah, YOU'LL FIND IT.

Are you kidding me? Allah / Islam knows nothing of grace. And if you think Islam teaches grace then you no nothing of Islam or grace. Islam, like atheism says to be and do and much good as you can. Islam and atheism both tell a person to

Nah, you did not get the point at all. It's obvious that what he means is that as soon as you start looking for reasons to believe something, you'll find them. Therefore, all your talk about how we simply need to look at the evidence for Jesus, believe in Him and start a relationship with him; all that is bogus, as we want evidence to believe, not confirmation of a pre-established belief.

Plus, at the same time, you make a ridiculous statement about what atheism teaches apparently... even comparing that to Islam. Just weird, atheism does not 'tell a person' anything!World of Factshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11066732051794158264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8308729492740986513.post-39611275386563154362010-05-13T05:38:29.917-07:002010-05-13T05:38:29.917-07:00@Brap

All of them were counted as righteous by God based on their response to the evidence of God that was provided for them."

So what were they responding to, instinct or evidence? I believe the only instinct they may have had was the common superstition of that era that a god or gods were controlling everything. (I can't fault them for that based on the state of scientific knowledge at the time.) I don't think there was or is any instinct leading people to the Abrahamic God of the Old Testament, despite stories of isolated natives dreaming about Jesus.

If they were responding to the evidence, then obviously the atheists would like to know what that evidence was. I suspect your only source of this evidence will be the Old Testament. But even if the original copy of the Pentateuch, in Moses' handwriting, was stored in the Vatican, and even if Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, and The Amazing Randi were absolutely convinced it was written by Moses, I suspect they, like most atheists, would still consider the supernatural parts to be a total fabrication. That's why I don't bother arguing about errors being introduced by copies of copies of copies. It just doesn't matter.

Using that same reasoning, if Joseph Smith's golden plates hadn't been destroyed and were instead on display today in the Mormon Tabernacle, I don't think many Protestants or Catholics would convert to Mormonism.

=====
"No one is without excuse for their rejection of their Creator."

So people who die today without ever hearing about Jesus are going to hell, correct? (Baptized Catholic babies excluded, of course.)

=====
Hey Hugo -- Snackbar got his name in the TITLE of a post.
