How Then Should I Live?

I saw a documentary about some convict who said, “I decided to follow Islam because Christianity is too easy. All you have to do in Christianity is go to Church and read your Bible and you’re in.”
(((Sigh))) It's like he thinks that as a Christian I indulge my insouciant ways with an ice-tea, lying in a hammock while letting my Creator do the heavy lifting. See whether you think being a follower of Jesus is easy –
. Admitting one’s need for forgiveness and admitting that there is nothing that I can do to warrant salvation is the single most difficult thing that a human being can do.
“The road is narrow and the gate is small and only a few will ever find it.”
Jesus
. Finding and following the Will of God, loving what God loves and hating what God hates bends the intellect almost beyond the breaking point.
. Agreeing with God that what the world has to offer is useless for real life and real living takes constant reminding.
. Having a relationship with one’s Creator whereby we mean it when we say, “That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2nd Corinthians 2:10, is not for the faint of heart.
. Romans 8:29 is God’s goal of each and every Christian, but oh my what a goal it is. “For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the first-born among many brothers and sisters.”
Hated without cause, mocked, lied to and lied about. Jesus, our example and character goal, came to earth knowing in advance that He would be abused, misunderstood, mistreated, rejected, insulted, betrayed and ultimately have humanity do our absolute worst to Him. Yet He entered into a covenant relationship with us anyway because He loves us. And then Jesus said, “Pick up your cross and follow Me (be like Me, do what I did, act like I did, relate to others like I did), and be ready to die (both literally and figuratively) for Me.
. “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Col. 3:12,13
Try Jesus and tell me how easy it is.
. Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for those who persecute you.
. Simply “Doing no harm,” as fools advocate, is not good enough for the path of Christ. The way of Jesus is proactive and encourages doing good to all. Lessening the needs of others whenever and wherever one can is a spiritual fallout of a Christ filled heart.
. “If you think you stand, be careful lest you fall.” A follower of Jesus will never overestimate h/her ability to withstand the power of temptation. Flirting with evil is anathema to those who love Jesus.
. A follower of Jesus does good, and not just when officers of the world are watching. Rather, a follower of Jesus does good to please Him who is always present. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
. Christian love sees others as worthy of preferential treatment.
“If you have encouragement from being united with Christ, If you have comfort from His love, If you have any fellowship with the Spirit, If you have any tenderness and compassion then in humility consider others better than yourselves. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:3,4,10
Romans 12:10 - “Honour one another above yourselves.”
Gal. 5:13 - “Serve one another in love.”
Eph. 5:21 - “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
1Pt. 5:5 - “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another because the Lord opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Islam is the end result of a spiritual quest that passes through atheism / humanism on the road to self-salvation. It is the easiest and default path of all who deny their Creator as Lord of their lives.

Killing Atheists

Atheist blogs are bristling with the news (yes to atheists it seems to be news), that in seven Muslim countries, you could be executed for being an atheist.

The shock!
The horror!

Islam is such a peaceful religion. Who knew that being something other than Muslim in Muslim countries could be dangerous to your health? Well, apparently atheists didn't know that, and now that they do, well, tell the world.

Here's what I wonder. Since these same countries would love to eradicate Christians along with all other infidels (there are millions of online accounts of Christians being killed in Muslim countries every year) my question is this.

Would you die for your atheist faith?

When Islam gains enough power world-wide, will you be willing to place your head on a chopping block next to the one upon which your Christian neighbour is resting her head? Or will a pusillanimous fog envelope that will cause you to tick off “Muslim” on your passport or driver's license?

Surely not. Not an atheist. Not those who eagerly anticipate confronting their Creator so they can accuse Him of not presenting enough evidence to warrant belief. Not those who in a derisory tone say they'd rather stand in hell than kneel in heaven.

Aren't you as an atheist, so convinced of the truth that the material cosmos is all that ever has existed or ever will exist that you'd be willing to die for that truth?

Aren't you as an atheist so certain that death is the end of existence that closing the door on this stage of life is just not that big a deal? Physical death holds nothing to fear for you, right? So why not stare Mohammed in the eye and declare, “Live free or die!”

If those weak, spineless Christians can do it, surely atheists can show just as much faith in their belief system. Right?

Down through the centuries 100's of millions of Christians, beginning with Jesus' original disciples, have been so convinced that He, Jesus, is alive, risen from the dead and residing Spiritually within them that they will endure almost any kind of torture and death rather than deny what they know to be true. As one Christian martyr said through gritted teeth to those who were burning him to death, “You can turn me over. I think I'm done on that side.”

Ninety million Christians in the 20th century alone have died at the hands of atheist leaders who were desperate to rid the world of Jesus' message of salvation. They were so close to ensuring an atheist utopia and they let it slip through their fingers.

Now that we're on the cusp of Islam's turn to purify the world of evil and bring about its version of utopia:
. Will you, atheist, stand for what you believe?
. Will you die for what you believe?
. Or is the rejection of your Creator just a passing fad?
. Will you “see the light” and convert rather than pretend to have integrity?

My guess is you'll lie, and deceive, and play the hypocrite just to avoid death by one more day. If it makes you whimper to have someone say Merry Christmas to you, you'll certainly accommodate the similarities between atheism and Islam (salvation by works) and adapt your beliefs accordingly, right?

It won't even be that big of a deal.

Let The Killing Continue

Have you ever had to wait for something you really wanted? Have you ever had to wait for something you really wanted from someone who is a really good and generous friend; someone who gives all kinds of good things? Like - Creator God
We as Christians expect Him to take care of us. And He does. In His own quirky way. As St. Theresa of Avila reportedly said in a prayer, "Father, considering the way you take care of your friends, it's no wonder you have so few of them."
For example, when those people who have been killed for being followers of Jesus ask Creator God how much longer He is going to wait before avenging their deaths, God says um – what?
“They were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants were killed just as they had been. Revelation 6:11
Oh, great. Just as He has done down through the ages, God is going to continue to allow those bound for hell, to kill those who are bound for heaven. And exactly how have many of these people been killed? Well, in the same manner that the Qur'an tells all Muslims to kill infidels “where ever they may be found.” Luckily there are very few faithful Muslims.
“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God.” Revelation 20:4
Here's a little gem from last week.

Christianity – its not for the faint of heart.

A Search For Truth

I have a relative who says she just can’t find a Christian Church where she feels comfortable.

“I feel as though I don’t fit anywhere.”

. It doesn’t occur to her that the search for truth does not begin with the assumption that one is already in possession of the truth.
. It doesn’t occur to her that she will never fit in a Christian Church when what she believes to be true is diametrically opposed to what Jesus the Christ taught.

For example, Jesus taught:
I Am the Way,
I Am Truth,
Real Life and Real Living are found in no One but Me
No one will ever come to the Father except through Me.

This woman believes that any and all religions will lead to acceptance with God as long as one is sincere in h/her believes. If Jesus taught the former while she believes the latter, of course she is not going to find a “fit” in a Christian congregation.

Her solution? She’s going to take a class in Comparative Religions.
Translation: “I’m going to pay someone to teach me what I already believe, i.e., no one religion has a corner on truth.” It would be far cheaper if she just joined a Baha’i congregation. She’ll eventually reach that point. Why put it off?

After having taken this class, there are several possibilities regarding what conclusion she might arrive at. One thing that any of us can know for sure is that while all the religions she learns about might be wrong, they can’t all be right.

There can’t be One God (Christianity) and 5,000 gods (Hindu).
There can’t be Creator God (Christianity) and god is creation (Pantheism)
There can’t be Jesus is God (Christianity) and Jesus is not God (Islam)
There can’t be Creator God (Christianity) and no god (atheism)

I’ve come to believe that while we can’t know beyond ALL doubt, we can know beyond a reasonable doubt which belief system is more likely to be correct than the others.

Let me explain:
. On a table before us are six stacks of literature explaining six different religions.
How can we know which religion, if any, is correct and which are in error?

. On a table before us are six Rolex watches produced by six different companies.
How can we know which Rolex is genuine and which are counterfeit?

. On a table before us are six fifty-dollar bills produced by six different machines.
How can we know which fifty-dollar bill is genuine and which are counterfeit?

. On the table before us is a mathematical problem for which six students have produced six different solutions.
How can we know which solution is the correct one and which solutions are wrong?

We know that not all religions (including atheism) can be correct in what they teach.
Like the religions, we know that not all the Rolex watches are the real deal.
Like the religions, we know that not all the fifty-dollar bills are genuine.
Like the religions, we know that there is only one correct answer to the math problem.

Right off we know that atheism / materialism is wrong. We don’t know what existed prior to the Singularity BUT we do know what didn’t exist. Matter and Energy did not exist prior to the Singularity and that is why we know that there was NOT a material cause of the universe. Our choices for a cause are limited.
1) Either Matter is eternal - or The Creator of matter is eternal
2) Since Matter can’t be eternal, nor can Matter bring itself into existence -
An Eternal Immaterial Creator brought matter into existence
3) Either inanimate, inorganic matter produces specified, formulated, complex, coded information for the production of life - or
An Intelligence (and only Intelligent Agents have ever) produced specified complex coded information such as is found in DNA / RNA that produces life.
4) Either Matter produces a life of meaning and context and purpose - NOT! - or
Creator God produced a life of meaning and context and purpose.

. Any philosophy that believes that matter is eternal or that the material infinite exists in any form, or that there can be an infinite regress of cause is wrong - period. So much for atheism.
. Any philosophy that believes that everything material can come from literally nothing by nothing is wrong - period. (Now THAT’S a belief in magic!) So much for atheism.

Second, because we know that matter WAS created, out of nothing, multi god religions are wrong for there can be only one Greatest Conceivable Being > Occam’s Razor.

Third when we consider the attributes of what the Creator must have possessed to bring about the universe we observe, we arrive at a Creator that is (timeless, immaterial, eternal, infinite in power and knowledge etc.) exactly the same type of Creator that is described in the Bible. This description of the Creator is arrived at, not from the Bible, but from logic.

We know that to identify the genuine Rolex watch, the real fifty-dollar bill and the solution to the math problem, we must go to the creators, the originators, the producers of the genuine article to know which is genuine and which is counterfeit.

If my relative wants to find a Church that will agree with what she already believes, that will happen sooner or later. If however she wishes to discover Truth, then she must go on a journey that requires openness of mind and self-honesty.

I believe that God, in the form of Jesus, came and lived among us to show us the Way. He came to prove to us that He is Truth. Jesus proved by His life and His actions that eternal Life will not be found in anyone but Himself.

If you genuinely compare the person of Jesus and what He taught, with ANY religious figure from ANY other religion, while you might not like what He taught, I think it will become clear that Jesus is leagues ahead of any of the other religious leader in His explanation of life as you observe it.

Unlike Mohammed, Jesus was not a paedophile.
Unlike Buddha, Jesus did not reject his wife and children to go in search of truth.
Unlike the thousands of Hindu gods and goddesses, Jesus is grounded in history.

Unlike any other leader of a major world religion, Jesus said,
“If you have seen Me, you have seen God.”
“If you knew Me, you would know My Father, the One who sent Me”
“He who hates Me, hates My Father also”
“I and the Father are one.” The word that Jesus used for “one” means, one in essence.

You can reject any religion, including atheism and if you are wrong, nothing major or significant happens to you.
If you reject what Jesus taught and you’re wrong, you’ve got a problem of eternal proportions.

Don’t take this lightly. Do your utmost to discover as much as you can know. Don’t be afraid to use science for science itself points to Creator God.

“It may seem bizarre, but in my opinion science offers a surer path to God than religion.”

More Virgins for Muslims

Perhaps fearing a shortage of men willing to die while killing non Muslims, Hamas official Ahmad Bahr has pointed out that the number of virgins available to a martyr is still 72 but they can be chosen from a pool of 2.5 million virgins sitting in heaven panting heavily while they await the arrival of their Muslim hero.

Contrary to other religions that offer heaven by doing and doing and doing, even an obedient Muslim can not be sure of his hereafter without dying while killing non Muslims. Should they carry out this duty, however, Muslims are offered a palace; in it are 72 mansions with 72 homes with 72 sheets on 72 beds with 72 virgins that never lose their virginity. Mohammed said, “The person who participates in (Holy Battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostle, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to paradise (if he is killed).” (Al Bukhari vol. 1:35.) “They [true believers] will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches” (Sura 37:48).

The promise of heaven to those who die in battle for the cause of Allah is quite a promise . . . In his speach Bahr told wanna be terrorists, "In the Garden of Eden there is a palace with 500 gates, and at every gate there are 5,000 black-eyed virgins. Brothers, 500 multiplied by 5,000 is 2.5 million.” He also said, “Men should be praying for a son who would wage jihad for the sake of Allah, nobody on Earth will be able to confront the resistance or the mujahedeen, those who worship Allah and seek martyrdom.”

Nothing was said about female suicide bombers. Perhaps there is a stable of Studs from Chippendales waiting patiently on their beds in heaven?

Jesus Shoots Islam and Atheism

Jesus showed His critics that the Old Testament was focussed solely on relationship; the “weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith.” Matthew 23:23.

Unlike Jesus
, Islam and the Pharisees focussed on ceremonial purity. Those who keep the laws regarding washing and avoiding certain foods are to keep strict separation from those who don’t do those things.

“Take not the Jews and Christians for friends ... slay the idolaters [infidels] wherever ye find them. ...Fight against those who believe not in Allah” (Sura 5:51; 9:5,29,41). “Seize them and slay them wherever you find them: and in any case take no friends or helpers from their ranks” (Sura 4:89).

Sin for Islam and Pharisees COMES from the outside and so the focus was and still is on externals. For example, on Islam, if I’m struggling with lust, then forcing women (the external) to completely cover themselves makes sense.
========

Unlike Jesus, Atheism and the Pharisees worked toward solidarity with the educated elite and showed utter contempt for the rest.

“Thinking is anathema for Christians,” Richard Dawkins.

Those most learned are most revered; the unlearned are most despised.
========

Unlike Jesus, neither Islam, atheism nor the Pharisees have any gospel for the lost. Jesus relentlessly preached a gospel that eschewed religious busyness and showed that the only way to please God was through proper relationships. In Jesus’ way of seeing things, the human cause is also God’s cause.

"Love God - Love your neighbour."

Unlike Islam, atheism and the Pharisees, Jesus identified with the weak and poor and powerless and sinful. Jesus came to live among those of us who admit that we need saving. Unlike Islam, atheism and the Pharisees, Jesus showed disdain for power while uplifting the powerless.
========

Some have tried to liken the Levitical code with Islamic law. I for one don’t see it and neither did the author of the Law - Jesus.

Leviticus 19 begins with “You shall be Holy; for I the Lord your God am holy” (v 2). Leviticus 20 ends with, “You shall be Holy to Me; for I the Lord am Holy.” (v26).

And what’s in the middle?
. Revere your parents.
. Do not steal or lie
. Be a good neighbour
. Pay proper wages
. Be reasonable in your relationships
. Do no injustice
. Show no partiality because of poverty or wealth
. Be honest in your business dealings

That is what it means to be Holy; holiness deals with the “weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith.” In God’s eyes Holiness is lived out in our relationships, in the way we treat other people.

Islam, atheism and the Pharisees concern themselves with externals; either in ceremonial activity or in keeping the law. Blaming the external object for causing my sin is the opposite of Jesus who recognised that sin is an inside job.

"What Is Wrong With You?"

The Principal of the school I was attending in grade eleven asked me that question. I was being expelled for trying to set fire to the school.

I didn’t do it.

Honest!

Somebody else had gotten into a store room where he (she?) tried to set fire to a stack of toilet paper. Truth be told, if I’d thought about it first, I might have done it. I was a little angry back then. Regardless, I was getting kicked out because my history made me the most likely suspect.

“What’s wrong with you?”

That’s a good question. Or better yet, What’s wrong with the world? That’s pretty much THE question that every religion and philosophy and belief system attempts to answer. That means of course that we’re all in agreement that something IS wrong with the world, or more specifically, there is something wrong with us, humans.

While we are capable of amazing good, the horrors that we inflict on each other and even on ourselves is difficult to comprehend.

As far as I know, every system of thought but Christianity blames something external to ourselves. Not enough education. Not enough money. Not enough access to medical care. Not enough this and not enough that. The reasoning being that if everybody could just get enough of that stuff then “we” would stop destroying ourselves. And then we take a look at the West. We have a thousand times more of everything than the rest of the world, yet the rates of mental illness like depression, violence, marital breakdown, and such are also far above the norm for the world in general.

Obviously having “more” is not the answer. That’s where belief systems like atheism raise their hands.

Atheists are quite certain that more isn’t the problem, at least when it comes to religion. Atheists like Christopher Hitchens believe that if we could just eliminate religion then peace would reign. Christopher may be intelligent but when it comes to wisdom - mmm not so much. Some groups believe that if we could just eliminate certain races of people, life would be all sunshine and bliss. Others say, Too many banks, too many millionaires, too much police, too much government. If we could just get rid of these things, some people believe, then the goodness of humans would be allowed to flow forth.

The common denominator though, again, is that these people see the problem as external to themselves.

Then there are groups like Buddhists who also believe the problem isn’t “us.” Not fundamentally anyway. On Buddhism and psycho therapies like Rational Emotive Therapy, the human problem is how we think about the external. How we react to, or respond to the external world. These people believe that if we could just train ourselves and others the right way of thinking, all would be well with the world. Like all other belief systems, for people in this group, the idea that the problem lies within is vehemently denied. In fact, these people believe that if other people would just “think like we think,” the world’s problems would dissolve.

Islam is no different in its external focus. Eg. On Islam, if I struggle with lust, then making you wear more clothing should solve the issue. Or maybe if I just wash my hands five times a day, that will be the solution. On Islam, something external to myself must be eliminated for me to become well.

This constant blaming of something or someone else is one of the reasons that I believe Christianity (what Jesus taught) to be true. Out of all the schools of thought, Jesus answers the human dilemma in the most realistic and believable terms.

Chesterton via Jesus says correctly, “What’s wrong with the world is me.”

Jesus said that we are fundamentally flawed and no immersion in any thought system is going to be able to change that. Not Capitalism, not Communism, not Marxism, not religion or the lack of religion. We are sick in a way that none of us can heal on our own and only Jesus dares to speak the truth on this issue.

Every philosophical and religious system in the world including Christianity has been used by flawed human beings to destroy other human beings. It’s an undeniable fact, and only those who exist on the fringes of reality think that their belief system is exempt. All of the rules and laws in the world put together cannot curb the inner man. Oh sure, we can coerce, and shame, and punish people into compliance - sometimes - but none of that changes who we are at our core.

We can force people by law to treat others in a semi respectful manner (I’ll sit in the same restaurant with you, but to me you’re still a nigger / whitey / Aaarab) but no one can cause us to love one another - No one that is except Jesus.

When Jesus gets a hold of someone a radical transformation takes place that is nothing short of a miracle.

That’s right!

I said, “It is a miracle.”

Jesus does for us what we cannot do for ourselves. I saw it again three weeks ago in a couple who in anyone’s estimation was obviously headed for divorce. And then something dramatic happened. They gave their lives to Jesus - completely and totally. I doubt that any power on earth or in heaven will be able to destroy that relationship. They are not the same human beings they were the day or even the hour before. They are a new creation.

Jesus does that for people. Jesus changes people from the inside out. Jesus gives to us:
His love,
His mercy,
His grace,
His tenderness,
His forgiveness.

Things that we cannot attain on our own by our own effort are given to us freely by the lover of our souls - Jesus the Christ.

He’s done it for me and He’ll do it for you.

While I’m not yet the man that I want to be.

And while I’m not yet the man that I’m going to be.

Thanks to God alone I’m no longer the man that I used to be.

Stupid, Stupid Christians

In a post protesting the stupidity and potential harm of thousands of atheists participating in a Draw Mohammed Day

I said, “Now, I’m no fan of Islam, it’s about on par with atheism for the value it holds for humanity. On the other hand, to deliberately provoke a couple billion people by placing their most revered symbol, ON THE GROUND, to be walked on, which in their belief system is the greatest affront possible is a long, long way from good.”

Not to be outdone by atheists, Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center in Florida has decided that burning the Qur’an would be a good way of protesting the killing of 3,000 Americans by Muslims on 9/11.

Not!

For many humans, loving the sinner can only be done if they first deny the existence of the sin, or they can hate the sin only if they also discriminate against the sinner.

Jesus takes us in a completely different direction of loving the sinner but hating the sin. That means we do nothing to ignore or deny the existence of the wrong, but that we treat the one doing wrong with respect and love and yes we sometimes bring in the aspect of justice which is never absent from love. However, to deliberately destroy that which your enemy holds most dear is decidedly unlike anything Jesus would have us do.

Remember? “Love your enemy. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for those who persecute you.”

Mr. Jones has written a book called, “Islam Is Of The Devil.”

I agree that it is of the devil, but so is burning the Qur’an. If former Muslims want to burn their Qur'an, as the Book of Acts describes early converts to Christianity doing with their pagan tools of worship, that would be one thing. It's quite another for Christians to gather copies of the Qur'an from who knows what source and burn them in deliberate provocation.

That’s just another stupid Christian doing what comes naturally to an unregenerate heart.

I’m A Racist

That’s what one Muslim called me. Isn’t that interesting? It makes me want to upload a colour picture of our family. Wendy and I are two specks of white surrounded by a sea of brown. So what makes me a racist?

I post this video of pure Muslims reading from the Qur’an while cutting off the head of a man who left Islam to become a follower of Jesus. Check it out. View Islam at its purest.

http://somalisforjesus.blogspot.com/2009/01/mansur-mohamed-sfj-martyr-of-year-2009.html

Now read the comments after this video. The one’s from Muslims are interesting.
. Some Muslims say this video is a flat out lie because the Qur’an would never tell a Muslim to cut off someone’s head if someone leaves Islam for Christianity. I’ve got a dozen verses handy if you doubt what it says.
. Just as many Muslims say the guy deserves to have his head cut off because Allah says to do so as it’s written plainly in the Qur’an.
. Almost as many Muslims say the video is all the fault of the Jews to make Muslims look bad.

Yet according to this anonymous Muslim commenting on my post, I’m the racist.
===============

I report - Muslim Cleric Choudary said yesterday, “I believe that one day Britain, and indeed every part of the world, will be governed by and under the authority of the Muslims implementing Islamic Law. And it will happen. It may come peacefully. But it may come through a holy war that will see rivers of blood on the streets.”

Because I report what this Muslim leader said, I’m a racist.
=====

I report - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said:

* Speaking at a Tehran conference on the subject of "The World without Zionism": "The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor AGAINST the Islamic world...The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land...As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map."
* "The fact is that Israel can ultimately not continue its existence."
* "We ask the West to remove what they created sixty years ago and if they do not listen to our recommendations, then the Palestinian nation and other nations will eventually do this for them. Do the removal of Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations."
* "The real Holocaust is what is happening in Palestine where the Zionists avail themselves of the fairy tale of Holocaust as blackmail and justification for killing children and women and making innocent people homeless."
* "Israel is a rotten, dried tree that will be annihilated in one storm."

Because I report what this Muslim said, I’m the racist.
=====

I mention that Israel has absorbed ten thousand Hammas rockets in five years. Rockets from Muslims designed to kill and destroy Jews.

Because I report this fact, I’m a racist
=====

I mention that Israel is surrounded by 22 nations. 640 times Israel’s land mass. 22 countries who say they cannot live in peace as long as the only Democratic State in the region, Israel, exists.

I report this fact and that makes me the racist
======

I mention that Jews cannot even enter Saudi Arabia as tourists, yet Muslims say that Israel, not it’s Arab neighbours but Israel is the country that discriminates.

Because I report this fact that makes me the racist
=======

I report - “Take not the Jews and Christians for friends ... slay the idolaters [infidels] wherever ye find them. ...Fight against those who believe not in Allah” (Sura 5:51; 9:5,29,41).

Because I report what the Qur’an says about Jews and Christians and those who don’t believe in Islam - I’m the racist.
===========

I report - The Qur’an refers to Christians and Jews as “apes”, “pigs”, “dogs” and “worse than cattle”. (Surahs [chapters 2:64; 5:59-60; 7:159-166; 7:176; 25:44.) This according to what Muslims regard as the word of Allah as revealed to Muhammad.

Because I say how the Qur’an describes Jews and Christians, that makes me a racist.
===========

I report - The Qur'an expends 60% of its content on non Muslims. How to kill them, how to never befriend them, and how the muslim must never be in an inferior position to them, etc, etc.

Yet, I’m the racist.
==========

I report - “The unbelievers are your sworn enemies . . . Seek out your enemies relentlessly . . . . Allah does not love the sinful.” (Dawood, Koran, pp. 367-68.)

I report what the Muslim holy book says and that makes me a racist.
============

Germans killed Jews by the millions, yet we have not seen a single Jew blow himself up in a German restaurant. Christians supported Hitler and Martin Luther himself wrote about how we should burn down Synagogues, yet we have not seen a single Jew destroy a Church. We have not seen a single Jew strap on an explosive belt and protest injustice by killing those standing around him. Who does these things almost on a daily basis? Almost exclusively believers in Islam. Muslims destroy Buddhist statues that have stood for centuries but has one Buddhist killed Muslims because of it? Only Muslims defend their beliefs by burning Churches and killing those of other beliefs and bombing embassies. Only Muslims raise their children in the hopes that they will become suicide bombers.

Yet I am the racist for reporting this.

Well, whatever.

“The clash that we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions, or a clash of civilizations. It is a clash between two opposites, between two eras. It is a clash between a mentality that belongs in the Middle Ages, and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century. It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between rationality and barbarity. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights on the one hand, and a violation of these rights on the other. It is a clash between those who treat women like human beings and those who treat women like beasts. It was Mohammed who said, “I was ordered to fight the people until they believe in Allah.” When Muslims divided people into Muslims and non Muslims, and swore themselves to fight others until the others believe what the Muslims believe, they started this war, they started this clash.”
==========

President Obama tells us about all the points of commonality Christianity has with Islam. Before I choke on this let me give one example of dissimilarity that outweighs all points in common put together.

In the Bible we have the well known account of Jesus being confronted with a “woman caught in adultery.” The man with whom she was doing the deed was of course no where in the picture. Jesus’ famous line, “Let him who has no sin cast the first stone,” is accompanied by His grace and mercy as He said to the woman, perhaps a prostitute, “Then neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”

The Qur’an tells a similar story that involved Mohammed. A pregnant adulterous woman had come to him requesting that he pray with her for forgiveness.
. Mohammed sent her away until the baby was born.
. She came back months later and he sent her away until the child was weened.
. When she came back this time Mohammed took the child and gave it to one of his men as a gift (the paedophile Mohammed giving the gift of a girl child to another paedophile).
. Mohammed then ordered the mother buried up to her shoulders and stoned to death.

THAT is the difference between Christianity and Islam.

Some will deny that this account is even in the Qur’an. We don’t need that vile book for evidence for, just like the first entry in this post, we have present day news accounts of pure Muslims carrying out the directions of their horrid master Allah.

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) – A 13-year-old girl who said she had been raped by three men was stoned to death in Somalia after being accused of adultery by Islamic followers. Dozens of men stoned Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow to death Oct. 27 in a stadium packed with 1,000 Muslim spectators in the southern port city of Kismayo.

If refusing to suck up to this barbarous religion makes me a racist, then that’s what I am.

The Atheist’s Only Hope

Christianity was the atheist’s only defence against Islam. What is taking place in Europe is coming to America as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow. When Christianity dies, Islam arises. Where Islam arises Sharia comes alive. The question is not if, but when.

The atheist’s mistake was in thinking that Christianity was its enemy. Of course atheism tolerates Islam or any other religion because the only religion that places any demands on the inner man is Christianity. All other religions focus on washing, and praying, dietary laws and holding one day more sacred than another and making trips to this or that city. Atheists can tolerate these things because they can ignore these things. Jesus' demand for inner change is something that atheists cannot ignore nor tolerate; hence their hatred of and war against Christianity.

The problem is, Christianity and only Christianity stands on the side of freedom; freedom to choose, freedom to believe or not believe. Rid your country of Christianity if you want but as Europe has shown in the past and is showing us again in the present, without Christianity, oppression, either in the form of Islamic Theocracy or Atheist Dictatorship seeps in under the door.

America has only known freedom under Judeo / Christian democracy. The loss of that freedom is taking shape in Europe. It’ll happen here.

Thank you atheists.

Obama means well . . .

I think he really does. He gave such as lovely speech regarding Ramadan in an effort to placate those who want to destroy his nation and his people. I think he really is that naive.

A well armed group wants to destroy his nation and Mr. President really believes that if he just talks nice to these people, sucks up in a most pathetic manner that the Muslim world will change its mind about destroying the U.S. and taking everything its citizens hold dear. I know, Mr. President isn’t talking to THOSE Muslims. He’s talking to the majority who go to work every day like everyone and try to mind their own business but that’s precisely the problem.

Most of the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims simply ignore the commands of their holy book to kill infidels where ever they may be found. And if ALL Muslims were slackers in the faith everything would be fine. But they aren’t all slackers - are they? A significant and growing number have blood on their minds and world political dominance in their will. Which brings us to reality.

Where ever you go in the world, be it Indonesia or England or the Netherlands or in a couple decades in the United States and Canada, the result is and will be the same. The same slacker Muslims that are afraid to speak out against their purist religious brothers and sisters who are killing and maiming and gaining control abroad, are exponentially MORE afraid to speak out when these purists bring Sharia to the country in which the slackers (we call them moderates) are now living. Slacker Muslims in North America who are even now bullied, no terrorised, into silence as members of their faith kill innocents abroad will simply rise up and join the terrorist (read Sharia) Islamic religious leaders when those leaders bring the terror to your own front door. If slacker Muslims won’t even stand up to Muslim terrorists half a world away, while someone else is willing to do the dirty work for them, they sure aren’t going to do it when it's time for them to step up or die in this country.

Make no mistake, the Muslims living down the street may be nice enough folks, but when it’s your head that’s being cut off to appease the will of Allah, they will draw the blinds and lock the doors.

Either we take the fight to Sharia, or Sharia will bring the fight to us.

Obama talks about all the values that we hold in common with Islam. Sharia lovers hold nothing in common with me. Not their hatred for and desire to see the elimination of Jews. Not their distain for women. Not their fear of education or culture. Not their racism and intolerance. Nothing.

I think Obama means well when he tries to appease those whose ONLY goal is to destroy America - or is that my naivete?

Who’s Trolling Now

If islam is a religion of peace, love and coexistence with people of differing beliefs, why are muslims the primary killers of Christians?

If islam is a religion of peace, love and coexistence with people of differing beliefs, why is this statement accurate?
“While not all muslims are terrorists, the world's most dangerous terrorists are all muslims.”

If islam is a religion of peace, love and coexistence with people of differing beliefs, why do we have in Darfur, today, a terrible humanitarian crisis created by muslims killing muslims?

If islam is a religion of peace, love and coexistence with people of differing beliefs, why are Israelies not allowed to enter Saudi Arabia even as tourists?

Why is it that only in countries with a Christian history that people are allowed to believe what they want to believe and convert from one religion to another (including atheism) without significant hassle from those outside of the immediate family?

Taliban kills Christian Missionaries

It's old news really. Muslims kill ten Christian Missionaries in Afghanistan.

Well, they weren't really missionaries. They were aide workers who were Christians. They knew the rules about proselytising and the rules were not violated, not verbally anyway.

However, when Islam (which says to "kill infidels where ever they may be found") is confronted by Christians who are literally loving their enemies and doing good to those who hate them, well, actions really do speak louder than words.

The Muslims only did what pure Muslims are supposed to do.

Why Does Islam Reject Abraham?

More to the point, why does Islam ignore God’s promises to Abraham? God promised Abraham two things regarding present day Arabs. First, through Abrahams’s son Ishmael, God promised to create and did create a great nation of people. The second promise however is much greater for it points the way toward paradise.

To be considered righteous before our Creator is the base-longing of every major religion in the world. Most humans recognise that we are fundamentally flawed. Religion is human kind’s attempt, by our own effort to make ourselves right. That however is a hopeless task. That is why God came to earth in the form of Jesus to set us on the right path. Jesus taught that only those who place their faith in Creator God for the granting of righteousness and for the possession of salvation are acceptable to Creator God. Abraham knew this.

“Abraham believed God and he was counted as righteous in God’s eyes because of that faith.”

It was not until 430 years later that God added rules regarding how we should live. Notice that:
. Before the rules came faith
. Before circumcision came faith
. Abraham was considered righteous before God without keeping a bunch of rules.
. Faith is what God wanted then, and still wants today.
. Faith leads not to rules but to freedom from rules.

Because of human nature, acceptance by God through our faith is what we DON’T want. We want rules because rules lay it out clearly who is and who is not doing what they should.

Muslims are firm on this count.

According to Muslims, salvation will be found by keeping rules - to the letter - or by being killed while killing infidels but most Muslims won’t take the opportunity to do that. Both Muslims and Christians agree that God is good to us. Muslims however want to believe the God is good to them because they have worked so hard at keeping His rules. Muslims, like those in ALL man-made religions want to believe that God somehow owes the best of us a place in paradise.

. It doesn’t matter to Muslims what God promised to Abraham.
. It doesn’t matter to Muslims that Abraham’s righteousness was based solely on faith and not on keeping rules.

That’s a big problem.

Muslims say that they revere the prophet Jesus. But Jesus said that none of us are set right with God by rule-keeping.

Why?

Because we can’t do it!

How do we know we can’t do it?

Because we’ve tried - for thousands of years!

Rule keeping may for a time constrain our behaviour from without, but our heart remains the same. That's because our behaviours are governed by our motives and rules do nothing to change motives. Jesus frees us from the inside; He changes our heart, and through that our motives for living are also changed.

Of course, keeping rules is not in opposition to God’s promise of salvation. But keeping rules in and of itself cannot bring about salvation. Attempting to keep the rules of religion only serves to reveal our powerlessness to be “good” and it is this inability to be good that alienates us from God and shows us our need for salvation. If we could make ourselves righteous through the keeping of rules, then Jesus died for nothing.

. Atheists think that they can solve the problem by simply declaring themselves to be good.
. Mohammed thought he could solve the problem by simply saying that Jesus never died.

Accepting God’s Grace and placing our faith in that Grace is the single most difficult thing for a human to do.

Abraham’s life was considered right before God NOT because of what he did (his moral failings were as consistent as for any of us), but because of what he believed, because of Who he trusted.

. Muslims have rejected the relationship with God that Abraham laid out for us.
. Muslims have rejected the salvation FROM God that Jesus laid out for us.

All people of faith are children of Abraham. People of faith do not depend on the law, or on rules for being right with God. As a result, all those who live by faith are blessed along with Abraham, who also lived by faith. Anyone who tries to live by h/her own effort (which is actually trying to live independent of God), is doomed to failure.

Scripture confirms this, “Utterly cursed is every person who fails to carry out every detail written in the Book of the law.” Because no one can ever perfectly keep the law, it should be obvious that no one can ever EARN God’s blessing / salvation. Yet Muslims are united in their efforts to keep trying and failing to keep the law. Washing and praying, praying and washing - over and over and over - day after day after day. Eating this but not eating that. Doing this while avoiding that. Scrupulously keeping as holy certain days or places as though those things stand any chance of changing who we are on the inside.

Abraham knew better. Those who are descended from Abraham’s children, both through Ishamael and Isaac stand to inherit God’s promise by faith - not by obeying rules.

The person who lives in a right relationship with God does so not by doing things FOR God but by accepting what God does for you. As Habakkuk said, “The righteous will live by faith.” Muslims fail to see that rule keeping never leads to faith. It cannot because it’s the opposite of faith. In fact, a belief in rule keeping leads AWAY from faith and into ever more and greater efforts to keep the rules.

Keeping the law of God cannot save us because we cannot keep it!

Jesus, on the other hand, is the Way to an open relationship with God.

By rejecting God’s promise to their ancestor Abraham, Muslims are determined to prove the Prophet Jesus wrong.

Faith in God’s grace and mercy and promise is what separates Jesus the Christ and the religion that bears His title from all other religions, including the false teaching of Mohammed and Islam.

Muslims have rejected God’s promise to Abraham.

Why?

God only knows.

Muslims Threaten South Park

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp9bYLa5gaA&feature=player_embedded

There are some of allah’s boys who lurk in the shadows at this blog. They say that Islam is a religion of peace and we should not be alarmed. Although, when the creators of South Park mention mo in what Muslims consider to be a sacrilegious manner, Muslims post their pictures and address, say that someone should kill them for what they’ve done and then say, but if somebody does kill them, well, it isn’t our fault.

The Muslims that troll here say that even if we were attacked by an Islamic country the ones living here would mind their own business and be good loyal citizens. Will they be?

More importantly CAN Muslims living in the cities of North America be loyal to the countries in which they live?

Theologically? - no - Their allegiance is to allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously? - no - No other religion is accepted by allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally? - no - Their allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically? - no - Their allegiance is to Mecca , to which they turn in prayer 5 times a day.

Socially? - no - Islam forbids them to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Perhaps that’s why disaffected atheists slide so easily into Islam.

Politically? - no - They must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach the annihilation of Israel and destruction of America.

Domestically? - no - The men are instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge their wives when they disobey him (Quran 4:34 )

Intellectually? - no - They cannot accept the Canadian Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and they, again like atheists, believe the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically? - no - islam, muhammad, and the quran, again like atheism, do not allow freedom of religion and expression.

Democracy and Islam cannot Co-exist. Every Muslim government, like governments made up of atheists in the past, are either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually? - obviously not - 400 times in the Bible the word love is used. 375 times that word is used to describe Creator God. The God of Christianity is described as loving His enemies even to the point of dying for them so that their sins can be forgiven.

NEVER, not once is allah referred to as loving, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names. The muslim’s god allah is said to hate his enemies and muslims are told in their holy book to kill the enemies of allah (you and me) "where ever they may be found."

The religious war is bigger than we know or understand. Every time a muslim emigrates from a muslim country to North America, s/he is taking the muslim cause to the front lines.

While the show, South Park is even sub 14 year old male mentality, to call for the death of its creators is something only a muslim would deem appropriate.

How Then Should I Live?

I saw a documentary about some convict who decided to follow Islam as a means of staying out of jail. This was his decision because Christianity was "Too easy. All you have to do in Christianity is go to Church and read your Bible and you’re in.”

(((Sigh)))

. Admitting one’s need for forgiveness and admitting that there is nothing that I can do to warrant forgiveness are the most difficult things that a human being can do. “The road is narrow and the gate is small and only a few will ever find it.”

. Finding and following the Will of God, loving what God loves and hating what God hates bends the intellect almost beyond the breaking point.

. Agreeing with God that what the world has to offer is useless for real life and real living is hardly easy.

. Having a relationship with one’s Creator whereby we mean it when we say, “That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”
(2nd Corinthians 2:10), is not for the faint of heart.

. Romans 8:29 is God’s goal of each and every Christian but oh my what a goal it is.
And then Jesus said, “Pick up your cross and follow Me (be like Me, do what I did, act like I did, relate to others like I did).

. “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Col. 3:12,13 Try it and tell me how easy it is.

. Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for those who persecute you.

. “Doing no harm,” as fools advocate, is not good enough for the path of Christ. The way of Jesus is proactive and encourages doing good to all. Lessening the needs of others whenever and wherever one can is a spiritual fallout of a Christ seized heart.

. “If you think you stand, be careful lest you fall.” A follower of Jesus will never overestimate h/her ability to withstand the power of temptation. Flirting with evil should be anathema to those who love Jesus.

. A follower of Jesus does good, and not just when officers of the world are watching. Rather, a follower of Jesus does good to please Him who is always present. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

. Christian love sees others as worthy of preferential treatment.
“If you have encouragement from being united with Christ, If you have comfort from His love, If you have any fellowship with the Spirit, If you have any tenderness and compassion then . . . in humility consider others better than yourself. . . Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:3,4,10

A Christian is someone who believes and acts upon what Jesus Christ taught about Himself, about life, death, sin, forgiveness and the resurrection (His and ours). Jesus taught that a follower of His is a person who depends upon Jesus alone for salvation. He taught that a Christian is someone who depends upon what Jesus calls His Word (The Bible), and upon His Spirit for guidance and strength in daily living.

According to the convict, washing your hands and praying five times a day is a lot tougher to pull off.

Islam - the end result of a spiritual quest that passes through atheism / humanism on the road to self-salvation, the easiest and default path of all who deny their Creator as Lord of their lives.

Oh, and for what it's worth? One year and eight months later he was back in jail.
