Have you ever had to wait for something you really wanted? Have you ever had to wait for something you really wanted from someone who is a really good and generous friend; someone who gives all kinds of good things? Like - Creator God
We as Christians expect Him to take care of us. And He does. In His own quirky way. As St. Theresa of Avila reportedly said in a prayer, "Father, considering the way you take care of your friends, it's no wonder you have so few of them."
For example, when those people who have been killed for being followers of Jesus ask Creator God how much longer He is going to wait before avenging their deaths, God says um – what?
“They were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants were killed just as they had been. Revelation 6:11
Oh, great. Just as He has done down through the ages, God is going to continue to allow those bound for hell, to kill those who are bound for heaven. And exactly how have many of these people been killed? Well, in the same manner that the Qur'an tells all Muslims to kill infidels “where ever they may be found.” Luckily there are very few faithful Muslims.
“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God.” Revelation 20:4
