Atheists say, “America Is Not Christian!”

This is not a Christian country. It's never been a Christian country.”

So say online atheists.

80+ % believe in the Christian understanding of Creator God. Roughly the same number believe in Christian values and laws. More people than not believe a unique Christian teaching – that Jesus IS Creator God.

And if it's not a Christian country, then what are the changes that atheists are trying to make? What are the values and morals that atheists say the government is trying to ram down their throats if not Christian beliefs?

Islam and Sharia Law?
Hinduism?
Taoism?

Ooops, that's when atheists forget that what they're trying to do is make America STOP BEING a Christian country. In order to make a country NO LONGER BE a Christian country doesn't it have to have been . . . well, you get the idea.

Atheists simply say what suits in the moment.

  1. Because you are not a logical person, you miss the point of the 'America is not a Christian nation statement'. If you were to use reason, you would understand that the complain of Atheists (AND lost of Theists too btw) is that the government should not favor a religion over another... that's what the constitution says.

  2. Well, well, look how quickly our boy from Quebec has become an expert in the American constitution. The fact is "the government should not favor a religion over another" is a singularly atheist twist on the constitution.

Many others understand it to say that the government should not interfere with the people's use of whatever religion they are.

Just because the majority of people (it is a government of the people, by the people, for the people - yes?) want kids to be able to eat a pre game meal in a Christian Church doesn't mean that the government is forcing that to happen or even supporting that happening.

That would be the case if the majority of people wanted to have the meal in a Hindu Temple but by law said they had to have it in a Christian Church. It's fanatical atheists that cannot tolerate ANY presence of Christianity anywhere in the country. And they are attempting to remove any reference of Christianity from the Nation under the guise of and faulty interpretation of the U.S. constitution. Luckily for them, people have not yet begun to push back at the bullying tactics of these fundamentalists.

Snarky again; what a bitter old man you are... when you write online of course.

    Can you read English yourself?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...

    Yes it also says that:

    ...or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Just because the majority of people (it is a government of the people, by the people, for the people - yes?) want kids to be able to eat a pre game meal in a Christian Church doesn't mean that the government is forcing that to happen or even supporting that happening.

This has nothing to do with your original post. That's what illogical people do. No surprise.

    You were arguing that:

“This is not a Christian country. It's never been a Christian country.”

What 'online atheist' complain about is that the GOVERNMENT is not a Christian GOVERNMENT.

Logical people, both Theists and Atheists understand that.

Logical people, both Theists and Atheists, also understand that yes, the US IS mostly Christian in terms of adhering to a religion.

But it's ok, it's too hard for you to process I suppose. Let your emotion guide your judgement and write more complains about Atheists. Have fun! Be happy! Be a bigot!
