Christianity Can't Be Under Attack

Did you know that? It's true. I've heard it on several atheist blogs. And atheists don't believe anything unless it's scientifically proven. So it must be true. Blog after blog after blog mocks the very idea of Christians being under attack, or as it's better known, The War On Christianity. And do you know what the scientific evidence is that American atheists use to base their beliefs that all is well in the Christian community?

1. Christianity is the dominant religion in the United States. Its influence is found in every level of American society. Therefore, Christianity cannot be under attack.

Makes sense? No. Not to me either. But atheists have a very, um, special way of supporting their belief system. As an analogy, the United States wields enormous power and influence around the world. There is hardly a country on earth that for better or worse has not experienced the influence of America. Therefore the U.S.A. cannot ever consider itself to be under attack. At least not until its fallen to the same level of power and influence as Lichtenstein. As it is with Christianity, as long as the U.S.A. is in a power position no matter what happens, be it planes flown into tall buildings, or explosives set off in embassies or crashed into its war ships, the U.S. cannot, according to atheist logic, be under attack.

2. Christianity cannot be under attack if members of other faiths are also under attack. That's again, according to atheist logic. If members of another faith are shot, or if a Mosque is burned, then obviously Christianity cannot consider itself to be under attack.

3. Every single year many hundreds if not thousands of Christians are martyred for their faith in countries around the world. In fact, more Christians have been killed for their faith in the last hundred years than in all the previous centuries combined. However, according to atheist logic, as long as Christians aren't being killed in the United States, Christians should not be allowed to say there is a war on Christianity. Even though Muslim leaders have declared openly that their aim is to drive Christianity from every country on earth (and by the way atheists, I'm pretty sure your heads will be on adjacent chopping blocks), Christians, according to atheists, cannot say there is a war on their faith.

So say the Brights of America.
