That’s what your Creator, Jesus, has done for you. The One who is perfectly Just sacrificed Himself for us, the perfectly unjust.
Jesus has made provision to forgive us, the ones who deserve to be punished.
You see, salvation is not for the good.
God’s grace is not for those who believe they lead upstanding lives.
There are those who actually believe that if they are good enough, then God will be somehow obligated to reward them with eternity in heaven.
The fact is, Creator God justifies the unjust. He offers at His own expense to save the guilty from eternal torment. All that’s needed for this to happen is to accept His offer of love and forgiveness. For He freely gives His grace and mercy to the guilty.
You can measure your degree of pride based upon your willingness to accept or reject this offer.
