It's All Good!

Twenty children and six teachers dead.

No problems here!

It doesn't have anything to do with our rejection of our Creator. This kind of stuff has always been happening. It's just being reported more now. In fact the less kids know about God and the more they create their own moral code, why, the safer we become.

The atheist utopia is almost here. Just get rid of Christianity and peace will reign.

Pfft!

For years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't discipline our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'”
Anne Graham

And atheists? What do they say?

A couple years ago, when an online appeal was made for atheists to give blood on the World Day of Prayer, one atheist, displaying the traditional atheist world-view said, "Can't I just fuck around an watch tv if I want?"

Thankfully there is a new group of atheists A+ trying to change tradition but they are taking a HUGE amount of flack for trying to "impose" morality.

Nevertheless, today this blog's own resident atheist expert, in the face of looming tragedy tells us, "Hey my life is good. I'm just thankful it isn't happening to me."

Obviously, to atheists at least, the facts before us prove that, "We don't need God in order to be good people.”

Right Hugo?

    No, not right.

What I said is the exact opposite of what your wrote, and I told you twice already.

I will never know if you do it on purpose or not but the result is the same: you are a fucking liar.

You lie over and over again and misrepresented what I said, or what other people say, and refuse to correct yourself. It's pathetic.

    No, not right.

You DO need God in order to be good?

  3. I was referring to:

That's what you lied about. That's what you will ignore just like you did before.

I don't care about your nonsensical we need or don't need God to be good. This does not prove exists or not and people who believe are both good and bad and people who don't believe are both good and bad.

  4. Typos...

I don't care about your nonsensical 'we need God to be good'. This does not prove that God exists or not; and people who believe are both good and bad, while people who don't believe are also both good and bad.

I would add this: you certainly needed God to be good so at least some people need to believe in a magical being to not be complete assholes.

  5. Do you really believe that's possible? To have one's character changed, not feelings, not behaviours, but one's character changed by simply believing in something that doesn't exist?

  6. Yes! You got that one right.

You are a living proof that people can change by convincing themselves. Whether what convinces them is real or not is not important; the self-conviction is what makes a difference. That's why we find people like you in so many different sects of Christianity and other completely different religions. It's real for them and they cannot even consider it not being real. It cannot not be real. It defies their common sense... and yours.

  7. This tragedy reveals the paucity of evidence in an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient loving god. Let the religious excuses and the blaming of atheists begin!
