Did we solve world hunger? Find the secret for peace on earth? Did a Canadian scientist cure the worst of the world’s ills? Destroy an earth obliterating asteroid?
Nope.
Not even close.
What happened was, a young Canadian woman rode her snow board down a hill faster than three other young women on their snow boards.
And that, we’re told, constitutes a glorious day for Canada. True, is was the Olympics but still . . .
How did our values ever become so skewed?
