You Know and I Know

We all know when we’ve done wrong. We don’t need God’s written law or any other law to tell us when we’re doing wrong to our neighbour. We are hardwired to know the truth. Yet with effort we can dampen this knowledge to the point that we can override the guilt that comes with misbehaviour.

While God has revealed His presence to us through our conscience He did not create us with the inability to override our conscience. He did not create us as robots.

For without choice there is no love. Without choice there is no right or wrong.

Romans 2:12-15 shows that God has revealed Himself to all in the conflicts of our moral experience. Differences in moral codes does not negate this fact. God has not left us without testimony of His existence.
