How Many Murders Is Enough?

What do you think it does to a society when it supports the murder of almost 2 million children a year? Do you think it makes us less caring? Do you think it numbs our sensibilities which in turn allows us to ignore even greater abuse of one another?

Did you know that if only 1 person in 10 who call themselves Evangelical Christians adopted one child who needs a home, every child in North America now in care would have a home?

Did you know that?

The New Testament tells us that because of the rise of wickedness, as history winds down, “the love of many will grow cold.” The writer is talking about the diminishing love of those who self-identify as followers of Jesus.

If we who profess to be Christians won't take care of the most helpless among us, who will?

If Only!

. In my Province there are 3,500 children in urgent need of Foster Care

. That number jumps to 9,000 for Ontario and every other Province has the same dilemma

. In Canada there are 30,000 children waiting for adoption

. Multiply those numbers by a factor of ten for the United States

“As you have done it for the least of these My children, you have done it unto Me.”

If only ten percent (10%) of those identifying themselves as Evangelical Christians adopted one of these children, each and every one of them would have a home.

What once seemed daunting now just sounds embarrassing.

No wonder non believers call us hypocrites.

If only we practised what we preached.
