Atheists, Vanity and Pride

A well known line from Ecclesiastes is, “Vanity, vanity, all is vanity. It’s all a chasing after the wind.”

Vanity means that everything you consider important ends in emptiness and absurdity. It all comes to nothing.

Pride means that you won’t let yourself admit that.

That pretty much sums up atheism.

We live in a universe that exudes purpose and morality.
We live in a universe with meaning and context.

Atheists deny it all.
They cling to the theory of accident.
They long for it to be an accident.
They deny any evidence that leads them away from the idea that they come from nothing by nothing and that they are going to nothing.

Vanity and pride.

Atheism
