So What’s He Do?

A lot of people, Christians even, aren’t sure what God’s Spirit does in a person’s life. Well, for one thing, the Holy Spirit allows us to communicate, spirit to Spirit with our Creator. God’s Spirit guides us, comforts us, counsels us and corrects us.

The Spirit of the living God opens our eyes to see the true horror of sin and eventually make us hate sin almost as much as does God Himself. God’s Spirit makes us long for holiness and loathe the evil still left in us. God in Spirit form takes our cold, cold hearts and creates a human being who is able to love. The Holy Spirit is the source and finishers of our sanctification. If you desire to do what’s right, it is the Holy Spirit that is working in you to want what’s right and it is the Holy Spirit Who gives you the strength and courage to do what’s right.

So what does He do? He makes a person ready for heaven.

  1. When you said that...

Hugo, I’m not going to get into the whole abiogenesis thing. I’ve spoken at length on it, you’ve read it, I’m done. However, the man who you say refutes Jonathan Wells uses slight of hand and outright lies.

...what you actually meant was that you are not going to answer any questions related to both abiogenesis AND evolution, and you are going to ignore the facts, not opinions, that refutes Wells' position, and you were going to refuse to admit that you misunderstood parts of the passages you read, and you were going to refuse to admit that you did not even read the whole thing, etc...

You should have been clearer :)

Could I ask you something about prayer instead then?
