Are You Kidding Me?

In a recent poll:

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/24/most-americans-think-god-is-in-control-for-better-or-worse/?hpt=T2

“The respondents tended to split along party lines - 52% of Republicans said the increased severity [of earthquakes] could be attributed to "end times” prophesies, while 75% of Democrats said it was the result of global warming.”

Earthquakes are the result of global warming?

Are You Kidding Me?

There's evidence that global warming changes tectonic plate activity?

  1. I guess this shows how biased we all are when reading polls. What struck me was this:

A majority of people who self-identified as white evangelical Christians bucked the consensus against God punishing nations for the sins of its citizens, with 53% saying they believed that to be true.

Even more white evangelicals, 59%, believe that natural disasters are a sign from God, while only about one-third of Catholics and white mainline Protestants share that view.

    AND

Evangelical white Protestants are much more likely to take a literal approach to the Bible. In the Bible, natural disasters are used as a sign or as a punishment from God. Mainline Protestants and Catholics have a much less literal view of the bible

... which shows that religious people are retarded, and still think that natural disasters are caused DIRECTLY by God.

But, at the same time, thankfully, we see that Catholics are more moderate and have a more liberal view. Thank God!

See you later... you fundamentalist literalistic Christian!

  2. I'm not joking. What do you and the 75 percent that make up the secular genius pool know about global warming making earthquakes worse?

  3. I don't know about the 75%, but I know enough about Climate Change and Geology to conclude that anybody who thinks that "global warming making earthquakes worse" is true is gullible, misinformed or just really retarded.

... and so are the people who think that God directly punishes people with natural disaster!
