Trinity and Why It’s Important?

God is a living personal Spirit. He is active and creative. He is personal with a known and knowable character and nature. He is eternal. This One God exists as three distinguishable persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. Yet -

“Here O Israel; The Lord our God is One” (Deuteronomy 6:4).

Some people would like to avoid the whole issue of God as Three in One. The problem is, the Trinity is inherently important to Christianity. Here’s why.

Just as all three persons of the Godhood were present and active in the creation of the universe, so too are all three involve in the new creation of a redeemed soul.

Our sin separates us from a healed relationship with God. At least two “persons” are involve in any broken relationship. The offender and the offended. In this case it refers to us (the offender) and God (the offended). Yet Jesus IS God. Now three people are involved for “Only God can forgive sins” Mark 2:5-7. So, if Jesus does deal with our sins, then He must be God.

When people ask for their sins to be forgiven, when people enter into a healed and forgiven relationship with God, based upon the forgiving work of Jesus, those people receive the guiding, comforting, counselling work of the Holy Spirit. It is He who regenerates and reforms and transforms our being.

It is through the Spirit of God that we know God, experience God, trust God.

The redemptive aspect of Christianity is based entirely upon the reality of the Trinity.

  1. "The redemptive aspect of Christianity is based entirely upon the reality of the Trinity."

Which is to say, entirely based on nonsense.

    I recommend this video:
    The Human Jesus

Take a couple of hours to watch it; and prayerfully it will aid you to reconsider "The Trinity"

  4. Well, I’m sorry that you’re comfortable saying, “Jesus, said “Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One,” and believe that. But when Jesus says, “I and the Father are one,” or “If you have seen Me you have seen the Father,” or when Jesus forgives sins and agrees that only God can forgive sins (that's why Jesus was executed - for the blasphemy of claiming to be God), or when He says He will send the Holy Spirit Who has the same attributes of God, when Jesus says and does these things, you ignore them, well, that makes me feel sad for you.
