It's funny, this quotes means exactly the same as the other ones I commented on. Does it makes you feel good to post quotes of people who agree with you or what? I hope you understand that this not show, in any way, that the reasoning is valid...

Your life, as you often explained it, was harder than the average, and your childhood was particularly though. It's at this age that you start forming your theory of minds, creating a mental image of what others think and how they will act.
The fact that you believed that I had had a conversion only proves that even more. If you were to really understand the way I think, you would have known that there is no way I would have converted like that.
Of course I know you never fully believed me, since I replied later with the same things, but I did went back to read the answers you had given at the time, and it's clear that you were buying it.
If not, well, that makes you a liar, just as much as I did, so I don't see how that would help your case for integrity...
Because the point ultimately here is this: you are a bigot. You think that we, people who disbelieve in God, have no integrity. You think that we lie to ourselves, that we are wilfully deceitful of ourselves and others.
ReplyDeleteYes, we can easily be dishonest for the fun of it, just like any other people, when the consequences are minor, like fooling an old Christian saying that you converted to his sect (you're the 2nd to suffer that by the way, so don't worry, it's common), but ultimately no, we are not dishonest to ourselves.
If we don't believe in your God, or any other god, right now, it's because we simply do not see evidence. Nothing more. There is no "wanting to believe" or disbelieve. You are making stuff up to support your own faith and your own wrong conclusions.
Every other excuse for not believing you name exists only in your mind and/or in the mind of some people you would use as examples. You cannot know the way we all think, just because of that disbelief, and especially not because of how you lived your own "conversion". You cannot associate thoughts, ideas or beliefs to a group of people you are not able to comprehend, and who are not homogeneous at all in any case.
Don't even try to pretend you know anything about people who are Atheists, and especially not the ones who take the time to interact with you online.
