There seems to be quite a lot being written about a Christianised world-view that is identified as Progressive Christianity. Near as I can figure out, progressive in this sense means anything that is different than what was done before. While the idea makes the mistake of thinking that change, in and of itself is progressive, some of this movement's ideas are good.
Fighting for those who are experiencing discrimination is right and good.
Saying that sin is not sin – well – how can that be right?
A red flag is that Progressive Christianity is looked upon favourably by those who view this life as all there is.
Why is that a red flag? The call of Christ that Jesus makes upon us is not about being admired by pagan society. Jesus' call is about humility and submission to His commands, regardless of where that might take us, or how we'll be viewed by others.
