Hook Line and Sinker

Hardly a week goes by that I’m not frustrated by the dullness of my mind. It’s like a cloud stands between me and what I want to understand - my Creator.

No matter what you want to call it, sin, or our fallen nature impairs our ability to know God in a way that would make life now, the way it will one day be.

Sceptics take this dulled mind and slowed thinking and declare it their best attribute. They listen to satan’s lies, and believe that God should be ignored. They discredit His character (“[The Christian God is] “Arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it, a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynist, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”) completely blind to the fact that doing so will destroy their lives now and for eternity.

This of course is the God they say they don’t believe in.

They say that God is unfair, unwise and indifferent if not disgusted with us. Sceptics actually believe that they are more competent in running their lives than is God and they sit in judgement of Him.

satan has sceptics coming and going. They’ve bought into every lie he has to offer. Either God is incompetent and unwise - so He should be ignored / rejected, or they walk in shame thinking that He wouldn’t want to have anything to do with them, just as though God only chooses those who are worthy.

God loved you so much that He gave Himself in the form of Jesus to pay the price for your sins, for your inability to make right the broken relationship with Him. God loved you so much that He made possible for you to live for eternity with Him in peace and joy and in the very presence of Infinite Love. God loved you so much that you will have to step over the dead body of Jesus in order to reject this love.
Don’t be a fool! Come home.
