“Hey Jude” - The Beatles

I was listening to that song this morning while my children regained consciousness from a good night's sleep. It took me back to a memory of Paul Keyes sitting at the back of the class singing his heart out. His self-cut hair flailing about. Dear Paul, fearing he'd go mad from the frustrations of life. Longing to burst the bonds that held him; longing to be free.
Paul lived by the motto:
Stat sua cuique dies, breve tempus – Omnibus est vitae; sed famam extendere factis – Hoc virtutis opus.

Well, he liked to think he lived by that motto.

Paul died shortly after grad when his car interfaced with a tree.
Hmm, there goes a flake of sadness ---- loss.
