Quite a story out of Trenton NJ.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/04/03/new.jersey.child.prostitution/index.html?hpt=Sbin
A 15-year-old girl sold herself AND her 7-year-old step sister for sex to a bunch of men and juveniles.
“The 15-year-old first agreed to have sex with the men for money, Trenton police Capt. Joseph Juniak said. She then gave the men permission to "touch" the 7-year-old, he said, adding that it's likely the 15-year-old gave the 7-year-old some of the money she had received. Molestation of the 7-year-old "quickly escalated to rape," Juniak said. The men held her down and said they would kill her if she screamed, he said.”
Obviously the police are not atheists because they seem to think these males have done something wrong. On the contrary, just as Hugo or any other atheist are forced to say, "What's right for me is right for me."
In atheist world, the only mistake these guys made is not breaking the law but getting caught.
In atheist world there isn’t any right or wrong, no evil, no bad. Everyone is good - according to atheists - that is.
“I consider EVERYBODY to be fundamentally good. Yes, even the most sick rapist murderer . . .” Hugo the atheist.

Wow, you're really immoral, lying about atheists. But people like you who only have imposed "morals" are hopeless when it comes to genuine morality.
ReplyDeleteI have to start with a "Wow" as well because...
ReplyDeletewow, I did not expect my name to come up after reading something concerning child rape, what did I do to deserve such association? lol
Anyway, you just showed me once more that you have no clue, you do not understand where we get our morals from, ALL of us, and fail to understand what I meant when saying that everybody is fundamentally good.
Clue: it does not mean that all the actions done by every single person is good. Come on, you think I am stupid enough to consider anything to be right? No, it makes YOU look stupid Rod...
It's fascinating to see how you think you know what I think, but fail at most attempts of interpreting what I write.
One other point. After lying on the abstinence blog post, you are also being dishonest here. You wrote:
On the contrary, just as Hugo or any other atheist are forced to say, "What's right for me is right for me."
You put " " around the sentence as if it were a quote. That is completely dishonest. Please correct yourself. THAT WAS NOT A QUOTE.
Atheist 1 says it's fine, right, good to pay a fifteen year old for sex.
ReplyDeleteAtheist 2 says it wrong to pay a fifteen year old for sex.
Who's right Hugo? Should both accept the external standard of right and wrong or should they make up their own minds?
One 15 year old atheist girl says it's fine for me to charge several men and boys to have sex with me.
A second 15 year old atheist girl says it's wrong for me to charge several men and boys to have sex with me.
Who's correct Hugo? Should both accept the external standard of right and wrong or should they make up their own minds?
Should both accept the external standard of right and wrong or should they make up their own minds?
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as an external standard of right or wrong. Each person decides what's morale or not according to his/her own standards.
We, as a society, share common values and have laws that fit these common values to prevent excesses of immoral actions.
However, we still all have the liberty, as individuals, to consider which of these laws we agree with.
Plus, morality can go farther than laws as there are many things that are legal but that many would consider immoral; adultery is a good example. There's nothing illegal about it, but I do consider it to be highly inappropriate.
So, answering your other questions is a bit pointless, as it's only a matter of opinion... and of course we have the same one concerning this subject! paying a 15 yo to have sex... come on...
Hmm, when I state that atheists in general say
ReplyDelete"What's right for me is right for me."
you take me to task. You say I'm wrong. You say that I should correct myself.
I was blaming you for showing that as a quote; and you have yet to correct that mistake yes.
Then, you say, "There is no such thing as an external standard of right or wrong. Each person decides what's morale or not according to his/her own standards."
I think maybe you should take a break and come back when you've had a chance to figure out what you really believe.
The paragraph where you stated my fake quote was:
Obviously the police are not atheists because they seem to think these males have done something wrong. On the contrary, just as Hugo or any other atheist are forced to say, "What's right for me is right for me."
You fail to understand the difference between saying that:
a) Everybody has his/her moral standard
b) Everybody should be allowed to do whatever they consider moral
I believe a), and I cannot think of anyone beside a psychopath who could believe b)
But obviously, to you Rod, we Atheists are psychopaths, so no wonder you think that I agree with b), lol.
I got your comment by email, but it did not show up here... weird. I was replying to this:

"of course we have the same one concerning this subject! paying a 15 yo to have sex... come on"
What? Is it the age of the woman? Is it the issue of paying someone for sex? Would it be ok if she's 16? 18? 26? What's your issue Hugo? And why should your opinion carry any more weight than the guy next door?
============
I trust my Creator's opinion that ANY sex outside of the protective bounds of a male / female marital relationship should be prohibited.
Some anonymous atheist thinks it's ridiculous to adhere to an external standard. S/he thinks that, like you and those guys who raped the 7-year-old, we should all just make up our own minds as to what's ok to do or not do. Like you say, the law shouldn't be the only arbiter of right and wrong.
That particular atheist seems to think that as community standards of morality change so should our standards or morality.
So when the community decides that it's good to stone a 16-year-old girl to death for dating a non Muslim man them it's a good thing, a right thing to do.
So what do you think, Hugo?
Is it the community or the individual who decides right and wrong, Hugo?
If it's the community why should an external source tell you what to do?
If it's the individual then why shouldn't those guys have accepted the young woman's offer?
I had already answer your comment, so I hope you will go back to read my answer.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few things I had not addressed that you added in your 2nd version though...
You said:

I insist on the fact that my opinion carry NO more weight than the guy next door... it's not my problem if you think that yours is more important because you pretend that it comes from your god.
You're the one who is misadapted to living in a secular society like ours. Sorry for you...
So, this time again, I won't address the morale question of prostitution you asked as it's pointless. We cannot discuss the reasons of why something should be consider morale or not with you, because for you, it's all based on your god's opinion. It's really a conversation stopper...
Again, sorry that you have to live in this society... can you actually discuss with people about such issues Rod?
Let's answer the last 4 questions thoug,h to insist on what I mean...
So when the community decides that it's good to stone a 16-year-old girl to death for dating a non Muslim man them it's a good thing, a right thing to do.
So what do you think, Hugo?
I find the stoning to be immoral.
(personal opinion)
Is it the community or the individual who decides right and wrong, Hugo?
Individuals, always.
If it's the community why should an external source tell you what to do?
Nope, individuals. The external source can be the laws that we have but that's not only a morale question as we said before.
If it's the individual then why shouldn't those guys have accepted the young woman's offer?
I think they should have refused the offer, I consider that immoral.
Honestly I am not sure which part of all this you do not get, so please tell me if there is any question I dodged and you would want an answer to...
What I don't get is why you think moral should be spelled morale.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't get is why you think moral should be spelled morale.
ReplyDeleteLoL. That's because my first language is French you idiot.
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morale
That's all you had to response? Interesting...
Is it moral to stone someone to death for working on a Saturday?
ReplyDeleteDuh, if you pick up a stone and throw it, you're guilty of working on the Sabbath.
