"Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases" (Psalm 115:3)
The fact that God does whatever He pleases, that He is not obligated to do anything, well, that means that He created those elect to be part of paradise because that is what He wants. If you are born again, that means that God wants YOU to be with Him in paradise; it means in fact that in God’s mind, it wouldn’t be paradise without you.
That of course means that it is all Jesus' love and all His doing because to know me or any other human is to know that there is nothing in us that would warrant our entrance into His family.

I think it would be more honest of you to say something like
'I believe that it is all Jesus's love and...'
I know you don't have the intention to, but I consider that you are lying when you assert that these things 'are' instead of pointing out that their beliefs.
If these things you believe were universally true, you would not need faith, and you would be able to give valid reasons for others to also believe them.
*correction*
ReplyDelete...instead of pointing out that they are beliefs.
I do give valid reasons to believe. Your being spiritually deaf and blind precludes your ability to comprehend that evidence.
ReplyDeleteI do give valid reasons to believe. Your being spiritually deaf and blind precludes your ability to comprehend that evidence.
ReplyDeleteNo, you have never given me one single valid reason to believe.
The reasons to believe that you consider 'good' or 'valid' can be sorted in a few categories.
- If what I believe was false, this or that could not have happened; no other explanations exist, my belief must be true.
- Before I believed, I was like this, now I am like that, I could not do that by myself, my beliefs must be true.
- Some people who had similar beliefs died for what they believed, they were surely not lying, some even converted just like me, my beliefs must be true.
- There are things in nature that I don't understand, there are things nobody understand and lots of things seem designed, my belief in a Creator must be true.
All of these are ways to reinforce your beliefs and they are good reasons for you to keep believing. The problem is that you never actually demonstrate that Creator God is the only possible explanation in all cases, or even one actually.
When asked for a starting point, you replied to me that there is none. Actually, the only single point I see is a belief in Jesus based on faith, i.e. accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour first, and then everything else will fit.
Saying that I am 'spiritually deaf and blind' is only a, not even subtle, way to insult me for not believing what you believe.
It means that because I don't believe that the spiritual world you believe exists, exists, then I am unable to comprehend your evidence that this spiritual world exists.
I did show on several occasions that I do understand your evidence, that I do understand your mindset, that I dot believe that you really believe and why, that I understand the teachings of the Bible and the modern interpretations you and others make, and so on... so what's your point?
Do you really think it was appropriate to call me 'deaf and blind', as if I refused to even look at, and listen to, what you/others have to present?
