G**son says N***er

The United St**es is one wei*d country. Hyper vigil*nt to r**sim, wo*ds that most of us have heard only from bl*ck comed*ans cause major freak outs over ther*. In my whole life I’ve heard someone I know per**nally, use the word nigger o*ce.

O*ne time -from one p**son.

Like J*ws who think that an * will fool G*d, Americ** reporters think that if you p*t one of th*se things in word N***er, it will somehow k**p the badn*ss or ins*lt from leaking out.

  1. Not complaining, just an observation of the schizophrenic existence we live.

It's like we think that writing, "Gibson called her a b****" changes something. I even heard a reporter say, "Gibson used the B word." Is this pre-school or what?

I know. I know, there's laws about what tv personalities in the States can say, but I live in a country that shows reruns at 4:00pm of what were adult shows last year. Yesterday on YTV - 5:00pm they had a movie with an Adult Content Warning. On YTV!

    "Gibson used the B word"

    Schizoid.

  2. The whole idea of "bad words" has always exhausted me. As if these words carried an ancient curse or something. They're only bad because we maintain them as such. Let's dilute the heavy connotation of these words by saying "fuck, shit, and bitch" whenever we damn well mother fucking please. "bad words" are a silly concept, let's get rid of it for good!

  3. Well, I wouldn't necessarily carry it THAT far. But ya, words are just words. I can't remember if I posted this. Last year sometime my four-year-old daughter came to me and said, "Dad, you know why you shouldn't call someone a fuckin idiot?" Sucking some extra air I asked why and she said, "Cause idiot is a bad word."

  4. Wait, why is the label "Mel Gibson" for this post? That's funny

  5. Um, unless I'm missing something in your question, the label is referring to Gibson's latest crazy outburst that's made the news. In a taped conversation with his ex, Mel promised to put his her "in a rose garden" and said some pretty awful things about her fake breasts and other body parts that ni**ers might find alluring.

  7. Yeah, political correctness is weird. I think I understand how it comes about, but words are words.

The intent is really what offends...
