Atheists say, “You’re the one making the claim that a Creator exists, so the onus is on you to prove it.”
The atheist, at this point, cannot step out of the ring and declare, “Game over.”
Why not? Because the person who is denying the existence of a Creator is making the more astounding claim. The atheist is making the claim that there is proof that this universe came into existence, out of literally nothing material or natural, purely by natural or material means.
THAT is an extraordinary claim that requires extraordinary evidence!
Not only do we have a universe that could not have had a natural / material cause, because nothing natural / material existed until Big Bang, but all of the constants and quantities that allow for the existence of the universe and life itself were in place at Planck time 10^43 second. And neither they nor the laws of physics could have had a natural / material cause.
We know from consistent observation, verification and testing that anything that begins to exist comes into being because of a cause outside of itself. There are no known exceptions. I suggest that the onus of proof is on both people, the one who makes the case for a Creator and those who makes a case for materialism.
Christians have a universe for our evidence.
The atheist has nothing but blind faith.
