In the past, some atheists have looked at the evidence that we have regarding the Big Bang Singularity and said, “Well, all you have is enough evidence for a deistic god.”
And I think, “Fine. At least you’ve been partially honest with yourself.”
A deistic god is one who got the whole show started and then, more or less, left the building. This is simply not the case with Creator God as He is described in the Bible. God, as He is described in the Bible does not macro manage the universe. He micro, micro manages the universe. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He intervenes to the point of sacrificing Himself in your place so that you can avoid eternity in hell - if you want to. As is sometimes said, “God has a plan for your life.”
In fact Revelation 9:15 shows that God’s plan is right down to the hour.
“And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.”
There is a “fixed day” coming when all of us will face judgement.
People know this. Based upon this knowledge we are called to make a choice.
As anyone who’s ever communicated with atheists knows, and as verses 20 and 21 of Revelation 9 show us, the gates of hell are locked from the inside. Despite all kinds of supernaturally caused natural disasters:
“They did not repent.”
“They did not stop worshipping demons.”
“They did not repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.”
Atheists ask for evidence but the truth of the matter is this. No amount of evidence will ever change minds that are determined to deny God’s existence; to reject His relevance in one’s life.
Their destiny is already set in place.
A Deistic God? Atheists should be so lucky!

This post = LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete...Anyway, where were we. Oh yes. First off, relax your boner, nobody is saying that you've proved deism as a fact. The only thing people are telling you is that under your contention with regards to fine tuning and the cosmological argument, THE BEST YOU COULD DO is prove deism. Again? okay! THE BEST YOU COULD DO is prove deism, not that you've just proved deism. Not that proving that a deist god existing wouldn't be trivial and non-important, it surely would be amazing. But you haven't done that. Nobody has, and I'm not holding my breath.
Secondly, you haven't bridged a connection between deism and theism. All you've done is write a bunch of silly shit quoting the bible and declared that theism and deism are connected. Wow.
“They did not stop worshipping demons.”
Um... if you want to take a minute to remove that from your post, we'll all close our eyes and pretend that your not simple minded enough to actually talk about demons right after attempting to post about "fined tuned" universal constants from big bang cosmology.
"Their destiny is already set in place."
There goes science! it boarded the reason train and got the hell out of batshit crazy town. So you now know about our destinies? Are you charging us 2.99 per minute for this information? Will I find financial success at my job?
You were better off posting about immaterial spirits. snap out of it, mak.
In the past, some atheists have looked at the evidence that we have regarding the Big Bang Singularity and said, “Well, all you have is enough evidence for a deistic god.”
ReplyDeleteNope. Some atheists looked at some of your statements and said "IF THAT WERE TRUE all you would have were evidence for a deistic god".
My point being, your statements were not true, therefore they were not evidence for a deistic god.
MANY people have pointed this out in the past but your "evidence" is always just an argument from ignorance.
You don't know how abiogenesis came about - therefore God.
You don't understand how this or that could have possibly happened - therefore God.
Now, you don't state them like that but that is all your arguments summed up.
If he "micro manages" everything, then he is responsible for it all and there is no free will.
ReplyDeletesupernaturally caused natural disasters:
Please explain to us which disasters you're referring to? If they are natural then they can't be "supernatural", that's a contradiction. Oh, I forgot, you claim to be Christian (I say "claim" because no one, not even you, really believes in any of the crap you spout) and it's impossible to hold such beliefs without logical contradictions.
Their destiny is already set in place.
A Deistic God? Atheists should be so lucky!
Yes, we know you would love to see unbelievers in your fairy tales burning forever, but since that's not gonna happen, you get your pathetic satisfaction by fantasizing about it and the vengeance of your imaginary magical being.
If your powerless god really existed, it wouldn't need any defending by a frustrated sadist like you.
Actually Mak, I wasn't going to tell you until later, but....
ReplyDeleteI am a messenger sent from God. I was sent here to test your faith my son. I needed to know if you could withstand the logical sorcery of the atheists of death.
I am pleased to see that you have passed my tests, my son. I've been needing someone to fill a position in heaven. I have a popular snackbar that gets frequented by many angel lawyers from downtown. I believe you are the perfect fit as cashier for this heavenly snackbar in downtown heaven, across from Jamba Juice. Please my son, accept my gift. And godspeed.
P.S. To gill Hugo, you must attain a silver rod and pierce his kidney, it is the only way to break Satan's spell.
Wow, this blog is starting to really be the funniest thing I have ever experienced in my life ;)
ReplyDeleteAfter thousands of misunderstandings, we have the ultimate one, quoting the Bible to explain what Atheists do, or think, or even... worships!?. LOL.
To make it more interesting, we had 2 great responses by atheists, at the same time, concerning that other funny claim, that deism has been proven:
May 9, 2010 2:21 PM
THE BEST YOU COULD DO is prove deism
May 9, 2010 2:24 PM
IF THAT WERE TRUE all you would have were evidence for a deistic god
Finally, the last nail in the coffin:
Atheists ask for evidence but the truth of the matter is this. No amount of evidence will ever change minds that are determined to deny God’s existence; to reject His relevance in one’s life.
That is the definition of an atheist according to Rod Holgrem from Dalmeny, SK. Please note that down; it's THE ONE TRUE DEFINITION of what an ATHEIST is.
@atheistsnackbar
Cool, I'm like a vampire but somewhat harder to kill!
thesauros wrote the following: A deistic god is one who got the whole show started and then, more or less, left the building. This is simply not the case with Creator God as He is described in the Bible
ReplyDeleteI like how you ignored the point. The atheists you refer to are correct: the best theistic arguments for the existence of a Creator point to a deistic creator. This fact should bother you in the extreme - and yet, instead of trying to address this, you fall back upon faith.
Why? Is this a tacit admission that your best arguments fail to justify your belief?
@SE
ReplyDeleteactuallY even if there was a god who MACRO-managed things, there would still be no free will. In fact if god exists, free will cannot be true, and I've argued with mak about that in the past, but of course he was too set in his ways to understand, allow me to explain...
1. If god has unlimited power, he can create any existance in any way he chooses, leaving nothing not considered.
2. If god ALSO has unlimited knowledge of the future, he cannot make any decision without knowing the destiny of every particle in advanced.
Setting into motion a dynamic existance under these very agreeable terms leaves zero chance of any action not being the will of god.
The part that mak gets confused about is that he says something like "god knowing the future does not undermine your freewill"
and he's RIGHT about that... just knowing the future doesn't take away your will to decide your outcomes. But mak fails because his contention is incomplete. God NOT ONLY knows the future, but ALSO designed it. If both criteria are met, you have no free will, all action is how god selected. If god KNOWS and DECIDED the destiny of all particles in the universe, freewill is impossible. Straying from the god's chosen path underminds our qualifications for god and the whole notion of a being with infinite power must be discarded. Freewill is an illusion under theism.
Paradoxically, infinity is limited. here's an analogy to describe how theists describe god. Think of theists calling god infinite and then pointing out sets of numbers to describe his attributes. Numbers 45,46,47 of the set may be kindness, numbers 3677, 3678, 3679 describe gods wrath. HOWEVER, they describe potential infinity. True infinity is not a set of numbers going on forever. Because no matter how far you follow the numbers you'll never reach infinity. This is because a number Is a finite term, no matter what. No number can be described as infinite, therefore numerical values and infinity are not attatched. If we can't even describe actual infinity with numbers, how are we going to describe it with words. This is why a red flag pops up when some one like mak makes these weird statements about gods infinite power, without really understanding what in the he'll he's talking about.
But then again I'm slow of thought so what would I know.
Mak,
ReplyDeleteit is me, my son. Don't listen to these retarded atheists. We will watch them burn in eternal hellfire with their kids, lol!! God loves to watch atheists burn!!!!!!! Stupid atheists think they are so smart, we'll see how smart they are when they're burning alive!!! Hoorah! Also my son, can you pick me up a 20 oz coke zero on the way to heaven? Thanks my son.
So tell me Hugo. What’s the point of putting my name and address in your reply?
ReplyDeleteI’ve always said that atheists and Islamic fascists are virtually identical. Am I wrong, Hugo?
Do you find yourself identifying with your Muslim compatriots and their means of shutting down South Park? Do you get a rush from stuff like that Hugo?
Does anyone else ever think about Poe's Law when reading the postings on this blog, or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteMak,
ReplyDeletemy son...
These atheist demons know your address!! You must act quickly, before it's too late. I've seen atheists eat childen alive! You must take you and your family out of the country right NOW!!! they're coming to perform weird satanic sex acts upon you and your pets, I'm going to send an angel to protect you in the meantime, travel swift, my son, travel with god.
So tell me Hugo. What’s the point of putting my name and address in your reply?
ReplyDelete?
I feel like I'm missing something.
I’ve always said that atheists and Islamic fascists are virtually identical. Am I wrong, Hugo?
I'm not Hugo but let me answer that. Yes. Yes, you are wrong. Atheists are not virtually identical to Islamic fascists.
Do you find yourself identifying with your Muslim compatriots and their means of shutting down South Park? Do you get a rush from stuff like that Hugo?
Again I feel like I'm missing something. I've read Hugo's comment and then this comment. I can't see the connection.
My profile states only that I'm from Canada.
ReplyDeleteHugo, in his reply says, "That is the definition of an atheist according to Rod Holgrem from Dalmeny, SK."
Oh right, lol, well it was only a joke to make it sound serious. The OFFICIAL definition from Mister H... you know.
ReplyDeleteAnyway I see now that it's not even on your profile, so I guess you must have said it before if I remembered that!
(since when is a 'town I was not even sure of' the equivalent of giving up an 'address'?)
They come for you my son! Don't listen to hugo's hideous lies! Anon#4 and brap gronk are already on their way!!! Please my son, there is no time! You must obtain the holy 9mm of Babylon and destroy these atheist demons with bullets blessed with the tears of virgin iguanas. And mak, warn the rest if the village. May god bless the and keep thee, amen.
