You Don’t Have a Clue!

Sometimes, when I listen to Christian clients describe their treatment of others, I sit in wonder at how they can be so mean to each other. Worse, I wonder how they can be so mean to Jesus.

When Jesus was being crucified, He asked God to forgive those who were killing Him because, “They don’t know what they are doing.” What didn’t they know? Obviously they didn’t know they were killing their own Creator. They didn’t know they were torturing to death the only innocent person to have ever lived. They were as dumb as a post. Victims of sin. And that is how Jesus saw them. As victims.

Are we any different? Not one bit. When we hurl insults at each other, when we crucify the self-worth of our spouses and children with our words we don’t have a clue. Jesus said, “What ever you do to others, you are doing it to Me.” When we hit a child, we are hitting Jesus. When we lie to our partner, we are lying to Jesus. When we tell someone they’re stupid, we’re saying that to Jesus.

We don’t have a clue.

I wish I had an imaginary friend.

  2. What was wrong with the Makarios nickname Rod?

Were you ashamed to have received only 2 friendly messages from theists and 7 from atheists on your last blog post?
Is it why you started another blog without acknowledging the support you received when faking your leave?
I don't doubt that your wife was sick but your "I'm done with this" was obviously a big joke...

Have fun masturbating your pathetic theist brain in public; obviously you could not resist very long before starting that habit again, and for us, well, it's always fun to read!!

  3. I see that you're as pleasant as ever Hugo. See my update at Makarios.

  4. Always pleasant yes, I love you so much you know; my love for you is as real as the love Jesus Christ had for you and I, inconditional and ever lasting.

  5. Come on, Hugo, even I think that's a mean-spirited inaugural comment.

For one thing, more atheists always posted on Mak's blog. Maybe this is his attempt to do what most Christian bloggers actually hope for: getting other Christians to comment and engage in discussion. I don't think Christians blog in order to amass pithy come-backs from atheists.

Also, I think you should have gone with "Theosaurus Rex," which I imagine translating to "The King of God's Dinosaurs."

  6. Come on, Ginx, it was MEANT to be a mean-spirited inaugural comment.

As a blogger, Rod is hypocritic, arogant, refuses to address genuine comments, and refuses to engange in discussions without respecting the point of view of his interlocutor.

His spiritual beliefs and writings on the subject will receive the respect I consider they deserve: NONE. But it's just a blog anyway, who cares...

  7. Yeah but... have you seen JD?!

  8. lol, oh yes, JD is worse IMO; I remember him writing that YEC could be a valid position, not that he accepted it, but just that we should not discard all their ideology "just" because they might be wrong on the age of the Earth. I tried to explain how ridiculous it was since it contradicts soooo many scientific fields, but it was pointless of course... as believing in a creator god is much more important than grasping the truth of the real world we live in.

And it's actually partly because of JD that I called Rod a hypocrite. After discussing the age of the Earth a bit, I, and others (perhaps you were among these Ginx), asked Rod about his position on this. Since he could not disagree with his theist friend, he just ignored the point, many times, and moved on.

It's much better to distance yourself from evil Atheists than admit that some believers, some "friends", are total ignorant fools who leave the door open to all sort of pseudo-sciences that glorify their deity, right?

  9. The Bible's pretty clear on the subject of who Christians should think about other believers-- whatever you've done unto the least of these you've done unto me.

So what you're saying is that it doesn't just apply to the good things (giving a cup of cold water, feeding the poor, and visiting those in prison), but it also applies to the negative things.

I agree that sin hurts Christ as it should hurt us.
