Store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven
where moth and rust cannot destroy and thieves cannot break in and steal

You know how atheists rarely venture outside of the Old Testament lest they run into teachings of Jesus that convict them of a deep need for forgiveness? And you know how atheists accuse Christians of cherry-picking verses to make our case? Do you think atheists ever do the same thing? For example, have you ever seen atheists ripping this verse?

Hosea 14: 9 - Who is wise? He will realize these things. Who is discerning? He will understand them. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

  1. Well, well, well. There is indeed a deep need of forgiveness. The world has a lot to forgive the Christians. I live in Asia, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, now in Thailand. Oh, the sweet memories of Christians arriving on our shores, calling our priestesses whores, raping and killing them, alongside the priests and our kings. Smiting our temples, killing the monks. And then ruining our society, our ecology, our economy, but of course: SAVING OUR SOULS.
All you can do is hope that Asia and Africa will forgive this. I admit it's not very likely.
And after this, all you can find to better your position is Hosea, the most-fake prophet, with an inane rant that those who follow the Lord as he sees him, will not stumble. But as history aptly shows, the ones who believed to walk the Lord's way not only stumbled but were defeated and destroyed and dispersed over all of earth.
