I don’t know if all people find the ironic funny, but I sure do.
And I know that Hugo does.
What I find mostly amusing is how the Bible, the Book that atheists see as a great joke is also the Book whose prophecy atheists are fulfilling - exactly.
Isn’t that ironic?
Can you see the humour in that?
I sure can.
For example, this Book that atheists mock says that as we near the end of history, atheism and homosexuality will rise in unison. Today, these two groups are together gayly pushing their way to the front of the line (hey -it’s their turn) completely unaware of the role they are playing in eschatological prophecy.
Atheists laugh at and cheer for the exodus from Christianity that is taking place before our very eyes. And who can blame them? It must look to them as though victory is imminent. And yet, how can it be a victory when the One whose existence atheists deny predicted thousands of years ago that as history nears its end, there will be a huge exodus of people from Christianity?
The final laugh comes as atheists around the globe pursue active opposition to all things related to God. This is not just and attitude of, “Eh, who cares about religion. Let other people worship their gods. I want to watch tv.” No, this is an all out effort to rid the world of anything to do with the idea of Creator God and the worship of Him.
What’s funny about that?
Well, again, atheists around the world are coming together to fulfill the prophecy that as history nears its end, there will be active rebellion and opposition to anything having to do with Creator God.
Thank you atheists for being such willing participants in God’s plan for your lives.

It's fun to see that we both find irony funny.
ReplyDeleteYour interpretation of how the world is changing, if the outcome were true, would be a great example!
What's also funny is that you post a link to this post again

in which you show that the Bible is wrong. Didn't you read my answer to it?
All these "prophecies" are actually good indications that The Book was written by fallible human beings who could only speculate about how things work. They expose their ignorance and pretend to know more than they did, giving the impression of divine revelation when in fact all they do is guess...
Moreover, what makes you think that the world will end and/or that Jesus will come back? when would that be? Why are less religious societies doing fairly better in so many social aspects? Why can't you make any valuable predictions using the Bible? Why always so vague? Any way to falsify the claims?
(Mostly rhetorical questions by the way; I know how you will dodge them or think I am stupid for asking them because you don't understand the actual meaning)
Cheers
I had forgotten to mention a few things, well, just one thing, but as a list...
ReplyDeleteThese things are either completely false, or at least, do not apply to all atheists, and show a misunderstanding of the concerns that atheists like myself have. Ask if you care to know why, but I won't hold my breath obviously, as I know you don't actually care ;)
Errors:
...the Bible, the Book that atheists see as a great joke...
...Today, these two groups are together gayly pushing their way to the front of the line...
...Atheists laugh at and cheer for the exodus from Christianity that is taking place before our very eyes....
... It must look to them as though victory is imminent...
... atheists around the globe pursue active opposition to all things related to God...
...this is an all out effort to rid the world of anything to do with the idea of Creator God and the worship of Him...
6! not bad! but granted that most are redundant on the same theme: 'atheists are evil people who try to do anything they can to get rid of religion because they prefer to laugh at it and deny a Creator they refuse to submit to'. You could not be further from the truth...
