Have you ever wondered at how submarines can drive all over the ocean, through valleys, over mountain ranges, even tailgate another submarine (Hey, every holiday I watch Hunt For Red October) and know, precisely where they are? What an amazing thing! These women and men have faith in their means of navigation. The systems have been tested, tried and trusted.
Abraham did something similar. He didn’t have a clue where God was taking him. He left everything he knew as familiar and safe and, trusting his Guide, having faith in the One who said “Follow Me,” Abraham set off on a journey the repercussions of which the world is still experiencing.
Those who follow Jesus do the same thing. As humans, we are strangers on earth. We don’t know which direction to choose. That’s why every generation makes pretty much the same mistakes of previous generations, even when they know history.
With Jesus as our guide a whole new way of being human unfolds before us. We no longer need to depend on feelings to sort things out. It’s a wonderful thing to not need to worry about tomorrow, whether we’ll have enough to eat or clothes to wear. My life has never been even close to being as exciting as after becoming a follower of my reliable Guide, Jesus the Christ. As Jesus said, “
“Blessed are they that have not seen [Me], and yet believe.”
Blessed doesn't describe by half how great it is to be in a healed relationship with one's Creator.

Failed analogy; the faith required for believing in Jesus the God is not based on systems that have been tested.

Yep, that's why Christian kids become Christians, and Muslims kids become Muslims...

Yet you trust your feelings more than reality. That's why you ignore every single mistake I point out to you concerning scientific facts. The facts must be wrong because your emotional relationship with Jesus is so strong that nothing can shake it...

Yet you indicated that you always agree with God now. So you don't have a guide anymore really, you just learned to trust your conscience, with the Bible as the base, mostly, since you have the decency to accept that some things in it are metaphorical... phew :)
How do you follow an invisible dead man who hasn't went anywhere in over 2000 years???
